The teen was arrested Friday on charges of harassment and bias intimidation. Authorities said he was released to the custody of his parents; they did not know whether he had a lawyer.

This has been in the metro news in NYC area for a couple days constantly now it has gone national.  They are going to press charges and spent a lot of time tracking him down and I ask for what?  Sure it's distasteful but I can't see how it's illegal.  Walmart is within it's rights to ban him from the store but have him arrested WTF.   It was just a kid thinking he was funny I have seen kids before access the intercom and start rapping store manager quickly chasing after him.  To think they are spending money on this shit and all they do is bitch about budget cuts who much will this cost?

When my brother was about this same age, he got on the PA system in a grocery store and called the assistant store manager a dick.

He was asked not to come back into the store for some period of time, but nobody called the police.

The pressure was put on in this case like I said it's been in the news here for a few days as there is nothing else to talk about ::) People have gotten madder and madder and the so called community leaders are getting all they can out of it.  Expect them to sue soon

I hate that this became a national story. I would have just continued shopping, and ignored it. I'm not surprised the kid was arrested. I blame the parents. Next time they should teach their kid not to act like a fool in a chain store hit by multiple lawsuits in an area with cops who aren't exactly known for their sense of humor.

Not saying what he did is right, but what is having mommy & daddy pay a shitload of legal fees really accomplishing here?

Why are the intercoms accessible to non employees anyways? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if you leave something like that readily accessible to anyone that someone is bound to be tempted to fuck with it. ::)
