And the female gets community service.  :-\

To be fair, the female in question wasn't all there and from what I understand; Gandy took advantage of this and manipulated her into doing it.

She was mentally and emotionally inferior to him? How unsurprising that's the reason. Do you have a source for the claim that the female pedophile was mentally weak and manipulated by the male pedophile who was mentally all there?

Other than the fact that I used to watch his videos and she appeared several times, I do have a video from a close friend of his.

They were kind of rivals, on and off friends, trolling eachother and arguing and creating a lot of drama over the course of four or five years.

If you saw Annette in the videos, you could often see that she was like a sort of puppet, who sat by his side and regurgitated his stupidity and dramatic bullshit but those videos were deleted, along with his account, a few months before he was arrested (due to drama).

This is the only thing I could find which alludes to that.

This is the way society views female sexual offenders in general, deeply troubling, but not a significant risk. Women are somehow innately good and don't do this sort of thing, when they do it's because they're a weak gender easily led by the bad men, deeply troubling.

I see no claims anywhere that she was mentally disabled and unable to realize the impact of what she was doing. If she were severely mentally retarded it could be a valid argument, being a vapid woman is no defence.

I would never say that she was 'mentally retarded' but she was easily mislead. The guy says in the video (who knew here in real life).

I feel sorry for her, even though she was in on the abuse. I do think that there was something wrong with her, I think that's the reason why her children were put into care...

I do see where you're coming from but in this case I do agree with the verdict (knowing what I did/do about Aspergianstar2009), not because of her gender but because she genuinely didn't seem to be all there.

If it was the other way around, I'd still say the same thing.

Of course, this is just from my perspective and maybe the fact that she was in on the abuse should come above all else.  :dunno:

I can see why it would seem that this verdict was based on her gender and for all I know, it possibly could have been but I probably would have come to similar verdict myself.

Yes it should. Am sick of seeing women given leniency for violent crimes due to claiming emotional weakness of some sort.

I probably would have come to similar verdict myself.
That's a common thing because people want to believe she's not a pedophile, when she is.

Perhaps you're right, not in the sense that I don't want to believe it, because I couldn't really give a fuck and she was in on it but more-so in the sense that I keep saying 'she wouldn't have done this on her own' and she's not really a threat as an individual but then again, would anyone do this on their own?

If it isn't some psychotic asshole coaxing you into doing it, then it'll be something else and I don't truly know if the woman can differentiate between right and wrong.

I should probably think on this some more.

It's hard to imagine anyone being simply misled into being an accomplice to something so vile. It's harder to understand them being excused as a threat, because they didn't act as an individual. Thinking a male wouldn't get compassion for such a defense.

Did anyone notice that there was a Superintendent Tim Bacon handling the case?

I doesn't matter how misled a person is.......if she hurt someone, she ought to be treated as such. How else will she realise she needs to take responsibility for her actions? Woman side-kicks are just as nasty as the dude...maybe even nastier because women tend to be the ones to lure the kids in. :/

Can't you guys even just imagine it?

Forget practicality, or your experience....can you just....imagine?

It's there. It always was.

Is this about the bacon movie thread? It said the case happened during a local awareness campaign.  Mr. Bacon, head of that particular campaign, gave a comment about the campaign. Didn't notice it said he had any direct involvement in the handling though. Don't know anything about Mr. Bacon; if he were involved, is that something to notice?

I thought it was amusing, that's all.
