How is it helping your OCD, if I may ask? I have OCD and I'm back on Zoloft for it, but it doesn't seem to help my focus.
And are you able to read when not on it?
Well, the OCD used to cause me real guilt and anguish; on Strattera, I still do the handwashing but I don't obsess about little sanitary hazards or about sickness I imagine I might have caused others. It's a great relief.
As for the reading: One thing I've recently realized is that I have
never been an attentive reader, on medication or off it. I have the bad habit of skimming over written material rather than reading every word, which means I learn little and retain less. I
could discipline myself to read properly, but in my current line of work (food service), I really don't need to read long passages or absorb a lot of information at one time...just have to double-check to be sure whether the recipe calls for a teaspoon or a tablespoon!
