currently the US has more gold, more silver and more bronze medals than any other country.

Every day, every year, I realize more and more how hard life is, how lonely things can be, how we're all just trying to make it. I hope people here can find the peace and acceptance they're seeking. Most people lashing out are just awkward kids shouting into the void; learn forigveness and let it pass. we are prolly not much , but the athletes we are sending seem to be doing well. I heard shaun white ( the snowboard guy) drives a maserati, amateur athletics must be a pretty lucrative  business

shaun white is an x-games star.  he has made money on video games and other endorsements.

He's a professional athlete. Not certain on the year but pretty sure back in the 90's they made a big loophole for professionals, something about trust funds or something. The Olympics isn't about amateur sports anymore.

US has 300 million people and China has 1.3 billion.   China has some work to do in the medal department then.
