I too am sorry to hear that you got banned, Kit/Spokane, because you have a plain-spoken, direct quality that is rare in these days of butt-covering and triple-redundancy failsafe strategies.
Having said that, I feel unease whenever I see threads soliciting comment about other users on the forum. On any forum — whether it's this one or WP, related to autism or not. (Even though, in honesty, I've participated in a few such discussions myself.)
To be singled out for attention like that might make you feel any number of things, none of them particularly good: Humiliated, angry, victimised, gratified at the notoriety, ego-boosted, etc., etc. Imagine the surprise of those three users when they logged in and found themselves the object of scrutiny and comparison? By total strangers who've never had a damn thing to do with them, except to read the words that they've posted? Who wouldn't know 'em from a bar of soap if they met them in the street?
It's no different in principle from those barf-inducing appreciation threads, popularity polls, repeated whinging in an attempt to gain sympathy, or other appeals for ego gratification, whether on your own behalf or someone else's. I don't *hate* people who do these things. I just think they're bringing needless embarrassment on themselves.
However, if that is the only reason for your banning, I think it's an unwarranted overreaction.
