The first of four excellent bottled ales. :beergrin: *edit - the fourth one turned out to be less than fantastic. :P

This one is Fuller's ESB Champion Ale - its strong (5.9% abv), smooth, and rich, with a mouth tingling blend of hops. According to the label its been world champion bitter twice and champion beer of Britain three times - I can see why. I'm gonna be getting a LOT more of this one. :beer:

Starting a bottle of Hobgoblin shortly. :beergrin:

Now drinking Adnams Broadside - strong ale (6.3%), spicy and full of fruity flavour - strikes me a bit like alcoholic brown sauce (but much less revolting :P ) :beer:

Courage Directors - Originally brewed exclusively for the directors of the brewery. They must have been easily pleased, cos this is a bit crap really. Nowt special, fairly smooth and rounded with unfortunate aftertaste of farts.

Why didn't I buy two bottles of Fuller's ESB instead?
