It's Dunc's analogy to Godwin's Law, the one that says:

Isn't there a charities commission you can use in the US to get him put under investigation. Would be quite entertaining I imagine to do so.

No, but he is asking for donations and claiming to run an alturistic cause. I am not sure how US laws work, but over here it is likely he would be legally required to register with the Charities Commission.

Afraid he is upfront with saying otherwise. However, there might be another way to screw him, are there any US organisations who could help with this? If he was in the UK I could screw him several times over, but I don't have much expertise in dealing with the US.

I don't think Alex Plank has ever resiled from the position that Wrong Planet, and Aspie Affection as well, are part of a privately-owned business enterprise. Certainly whenever someone on WP raises a demand that Alex or the site should do this or that thing, or be more proactive, or act in a way more representative of its membership, or in the so-called "interests of the community," the response has always been "It's Alex's site, and it's his to do with as he sees fit."  Does he have a duty of disclosure, in that case, to account for any monies received through voluntary donations? Seems unlikely to me. I'm not a lawyer, however.

Once again it's the classic caveat emptor. It's up to the people making the donations to determine whether or not they are receiving any value in return for their "investment."
