This is bullshit. I was expecting the MRI data to come back and show something that wasn't there. Unfortunately its something worse. It appears I have shitty "connective tissue" and surgery isn't going to fix it. He just gave me a lecture about the dangers of opiates and living with pain and wrote me a script.

Living with pain. What a fantastic christmas present.

Oh man, I am so sorry to hear that Rage. :( I know someone who got the same dx, now I just have to remember who and what they did about it. I'll check back in when I remember who it was  :facepalm2: and I talk to them.

Nothing I can do according to this doctor. Its just degenerative and i'll rot away over time.

I'm not accepting that though. I'll try some more doctors.

Doctors are always into that living with pain shit unless of course it's them

As Howard Hughes proved, trying to "live with pain" is total BS. After his crash in the XF-11 in 1946, he began to use morphine to cope with the pain of his injuries. He lived for 30 years with chronic pain, and ultimately died of kidney failure. Many doctors agree, that although his death was atributed to opiate addiction, if he WASN'T on morphine, he would've died sooner.

Damn near, he died before his 71st birthday.
