If I had to take a wild guess I would imagine it may have something to do with the fact that zinc and copper toxicity is an unlikely marriage because they both compete in the gut and that copper is more prevalent in women and zinc in men's bodies and having too much of one would cancel out the other?

Maybe copper toxicity effecting the male reproductive organs (amoung others) and causing ED?
