I was dubious about the authenticity of this, especially after reading "Persons and things of all kinds will be brought within focus of cameras connected electrically with screens at opposite ends of circuits," which seemed a little too conveniently prescient. But Ladies' Home Journal does indeed claim this as their own. Here's a link:

Jules Verne predicted well over a hundred years ago that there would be something like the internet and that the UK would be more or less a "colony" to the US.

I  had a crazy great grandma  that predicted all kinds of weird to her kids back then shit that isn't so weird now like radio,cars ,flying everyone thought she was nuts back then
