I think the midwest gets hit harder with that stuff than we do. The past few winters have been pretty mild, nothing like the  winters of my childhood. The midwest also gets so many tornados, California gets earthquakes and wildfires...I think I'll stay put!

Lots of rain and wind during a few months of the year.    Jacksonville rarely gets hit directly by anything.    The heat is a positive to me.   I like the temp to be higher than 65 but lower than 95.   The humidity is what makes it brutal at times.

Lots of rain and wind during a few months of the year.    Jacksonville rarely gets hit directly by anything.    The heat is a positive to me.   I like the temp to be higher than 65 but lower than 95.   The humidity is what makes it brutal at times.

Humidity really is the killer. I'd prefer a dry 90 to a humid 70...degrees Celsius, I mean!

No that was me with my electric clippers and an electric shaver. I actually have to be careful to always wear a hat if I'm going to be outside for any length of time.
