Don't know if it's been asked before, but how tall are you?

I am 5'9". My baby boy in now 5'8". I am pleased I bred some height into the family line. My Father was 5'7" and my mother 4'11". I was never gonna be a giant.

I2 today is not i2 of yesteryear. It is a knitting circle. Those that participate be they nice or asshats know their place and the price to be there. Odeon is the overlord

.Benevolent if you toe the line.

Think it is I2 of old? Even Odeon is not so delusional as to think otherwise. He may on occasionally pretend otherwise but his base is that knitting circle.

Censoring/banning/restricting/moderating myself, Calanadale & Scrapheap were all not his finest moments.

When did his growth spurt start?

I'm wondering how tall he will be when he finishes growing.

I think he will be around 6'1-6'2"
His sister is taller for a girl her age than what he is for a boy his age surprisingly
He has always been tall for his age and seems to just consistently grow. He has lost a lot of his "puppy fat" and starting to become a lot more physical and physically aware. He is interested in doing weights and learning boxing from me. I am surprised he is getting too a lot more co-ordinated.

One thing as a male and as a man he will not suffer for with confidence I think :)

Sorry if you have given details on this before: How did you get diagnosed with dyslexia? How old were you at the time? And did you get any treatment for it?

I was 24 I think. At the time I was referred to a specialist and the (Iren?) glasses were all the rage as the cureall. They were looking to run these kinds of tests as a way to cure me and so. I felt like it was all kind of "new agey" and put little store in it. So i fobbed off the appointment and never went. I copped shit from my then wife but that was no biggie.

You mean Irlen. I wear Irlen lenses but not for dyslexia as I don't have that. I have perceptual problems and am over sensitive to yellow light. So the lenses filter out a lot of yellow light.

They (Irlen lenses) don't cure dyslexia. But they can help make reading easier. I have seen it for myself with GA as she has reading issues. Without Irlens - reading aloud not very good. With Irlens - better, a lot more fluent.

That was ages ago for you. More questions: Do you have trouble with telling between left and right? Trouble with reading analogue clocks?

Yes that was what they were called Irlen.
Yup left and right is poor. Spatial perception poorer (not only width and length but depth too) an have little ability to extrapolate meaning out of a map and directions. It is hit and miss.

Yes, those things are found to be associated with dyslexia. GA has been thinking she may have dyslexia. I think she might be right.

I know Irlens can help with spatial perception too. They make a big difference for me with height and width but not depth. Maybe you could give it a try, it is not as "new age" as it used to be and there has been studies done on the method.

Back then is 1994. Was a while ago :P. It was very much snake oil is the pitch and little real research but break through findings. I have no doubt it would be a lot better nowdays.

I was 17 in 1994.

The diagnostic process is quite long. Then to get the right colour lenses takes even longer. I have seen a few people around wearing Irlens but not many.
