What, pray tell, is a purring? How does one perform it on a kitten?

Ooh, I just had the cure all, a teaspoon of vinegar...gets rid of them every time.  I'm back to normal....well as normal as I'll ever get anyway!

I didn't know about that cure.

The one I know is to bend way over to drink a glass of water from the far side of the glass.  It works every time I try it.

You could avoid all the hoopala, and just pour the cold water
down your chest in the first place. That should work just as well.

Apple cider vinegar is one of the "miracle cures" in Europe. That and green tea.

For hiccups, if you concentrate on not hiccuping for about the cycle length of two of them, that also makes them go away.
