winamp has been pissing me off as well. A couple of days ago, it "stuck" and became unresponsive, endlessly replaying a three second loop of some track. My keyboard locked up, too. It did nothing. I did not realize how bad it was and I held down "Control/Alternate/Delete"  for too long. I ended up opening (I counted them!) seventy two instances of Task Manager from a supposedly unresponsive keyboard.

I have had good experiences with Winrar and Nero 6. Fancy assed Nero 7 seems to be crippled, though.
