animals symptoms of distress are hard to pinpoint.

a parrot may pluck feathers due to stress, but the stress may come from anywhere.
maybe they live near a subway, and the parrot hears the trains much louder than everyone else.

it can be anything..

Exactly. That's my point. If he/she is continuining to pluck, then what they're doing right now isn't working and needs to be changed.

Bock, moo, and oink? No problem. The occassional quack is okay too (as in the duck, not the crazy people) but I can't do "polly wants a cracker."

(okay, I think that's one of the funniest sentences I've ever read). :laugh:

Here's another good evolution pic:

is that from sierra leone?
i bet theres more than one naked chimp in the world, but i remember a chimp in a reserve there who was naked for having plucked fur off himself due to war trauma.
that one looks almost waxed tho :I

The description that accompanied the pic when I found it some months ago was that the chimp had lost it's hair due to a medical condition.

parrot=little talking chicken

... And sometimes parrot=gi-normous talking chicken.

These ones mostly say "Braaaak! Braaaak! Faaaaaark!" which is Cockatoo-speak for "I'm hungry!" Lucky for my son that there's a window between that beak and his pointy finger.  ;D

They do some severe damage at least.
