I go from the bed to the sofa all the time, I can prop myself up better on the sofa, seems to help me breathe better (allergies).

Breathing is definitively  better when in the recliner

I know a guy who's been doing it for ages. He sleeps better there than anywhere else.

I miss my recliner.  I let my brother have it for his new apartment.

My husband. He's got a hiatal hernia and acid reflux, and snoozing semi-upright is sometimes more comfortable for him than lying FOB.

I can't fall asleep anywhere except a bed. Even then, it takes about an hour for me to conk out.

^ I'm the same way. It was a pain in the arse when I had pnemonia because if I was in bed, I would stop breathing. But in a chair I couldn't sleep. :P Hence the 90 mins of sleep a night I was having.
