Are you biased against non-autistics?

do you think stereotyping people based on religion, nationality, gender, race or neurology is justified? If so, why?

It's my reaction to their behaviour/culture

I have to admit, life would be duller without them though...

Stereotyping is unavoidable

I try not to do it along the lines of gender/race/religion etc but neurology is far closer to home, so it feels more
personal - it's my very identity

I need to keep myself separate from them to avoid being 'assimilated' and losing ME

why does accepting that others are different from each other leave you at risk of losing you? Is your identity bound up in being autistic, or in being you?

But that's the whole point, most NT's aren't that different form each other - they're horrifically the same!
They all blend into a homogenous mass of herd opinion!

And you'd be able to tell the difference if they were different from each other?

thats very simplistic (as is usually the case with stereotyping) and as such not very accurate.

There are plenty of sheeple who don't appear to have developed the inclination to think for themselves. But there are also plenty who don't fit that model. Otherwise there would be little diversity of worldview, personality, expression in society, and you know that isn't the case. It would be a grey and boring world if 99% of the population all behaved in the same way. If NTs were all the same, modelling appropriate social behaviour would be a piss of piss to learn.

'And you'd be able to tell the difference if they were different from each other?'

This is getting complicated!

I know people can be a lot more different than they seem at first but they still tend to adhere to
many 'core' behaviours that I find very annoying and predictable
