First start new toy

My trail start of a forge I have had a long time but never used.  It's too small and low.  I think I'll put an electric blower on it but wanted to try out the old way first. Maybe keep it as is for a  portable.  Cranking it is a lot of work

You could take the crank off and chuck an electric drill up to it.

Might want to scale it up a bit depending on what you want to do with it, I sold the one in the vid because it was too small I had and have a larger home built one now still using charcoal or coal.  I did make one similar to the one in this vid to cast aluminum but used a cement based refractory  with bentonite and perlite that could run on charcoal or propane
