i have both RL and online people on mine. i don't really make any distinction between the two

People are real to me, no matter how I meet them.
And can be great and bastards, both in 'RL' and on the internet.

I hate it when people sneer that online relationships "aren't real." Granted, it's easier to lie from a distance, to someone who can't double-check what you tell him, but look at all the lying and backstabbing that people do to each other IRL.

I have facebook. I only accept friends request from people I know. I do not take strangers. You can customize your friends too by limiting what they can see on your facebook.

I also have my profile set to private so only friends can see. You can't see anything on my facebook.

I prefer people to tell me who they are when they add me. I always look at their profiles to see who they are when they send me a friends request. My old class mates usually have their profiles open for anyone to view and I can recognize them and I see their name and I accept their friends request.

I have denied friends before because I didn't know who they were. Even their profiles didn't hint it.

I now hide all reports of games, first thing I do coming on FB is hiding new ones. Iit looks a lot better.

I can't trust anyone completely until I've met them in real life. I've seen too much crazy online to do otherwise. As far as backstabbing and lying goes, I haven't had that problem irl since I was in middle school, so I'm good on that front too.

I can't trust anyone completely until I've met them in real life. I've seen too much crazy online to do otherwise. As far as backstabbing and lying goes, I haven't had that problem irl since I was in middle school, so I'm good on that front too.

Sorry to hear about the craziness you've encountered online, and glad your real life has gotten better since middle school (mine has too).
