Car glove boxes

Why have they become so small.  Look under the dash in must cars ther is plenty of room?  Also why don't they lock anymore? Just a thought I was pondering today.  So much wasted space inside cars that could have all kinds of compartment for all those little things I need

That's a very good point.  Some of them are barely big enough to hold the owner's manual, proof of insurance and registration.

Luckily mine is big enough. No lock on it but I can fit a bunch of papers in there and a camera or hand held game console.

It's so you can traffic humans under there.

For real though, a lot of that space was reclaimed for safety. Interior crumple zones, so the dash deforms when our heads smash into it.

When there used to be carriages.

I have just car stuff in mine. Don't have to carry registration papers here, but I have the car manual and the service records in there.

We have registration stickers that are put on the windscreen. They are very expensive stickers.

How much do they cost in the west? Over here I only have to pay $160 for 6 months.

We have stickers that we put on the license plate but still need a separate registration document. Fucking sick Sweden.  :thumbdn:

$300 for 12 months.
Maybe we pay more here because we don't have toll roads.
