a serious seller on amazon
« on: August 06, 2009, 06:56:46 PM »
Hi guys, I'm hoping someone out there can help me out. I have seen some old books by one of my fave authors available through amazon but only in used condition from different sellers. I am afraid of receiving books with missing pages or books that look like hell. I don't care that the books are read, I just don't wanna find someone's dinner inside!

If anyone have any experience with the firms at amazon market place, be it good or bad, please reply. (Powells bookstore, Thriftbooks, Woody's, Alibris, Nangsueruk, Wonderbook, the_internet_bookshop, three_spires_books and heavy_tail especially!)

And how bad are the conditions "used- acceptable" and "used - good"?

Good is usually quite good.  Sometimes the pages are kinda bent and you can see the wear in it plus it might be somewhat yellowed.  Overall though it's nothing terrible.  I only go for the Very good's really.  I've never bought an Acceptable one and I fear it may be the shit-all-over-half-torn-pages variety
