At my old school they blew up a pipe bomb so that it flew shrapnel over the teachers' cars some hundred meters away.  :green:

That kind of prank is Federal time here.

I'm sure they had to talk with some psychologist for a few hours for that little joke. They definately not go to prison at 16 for "just" blowing up a pipe bomb near a school.  ::)

Mix 2 grams of potassium perchlorate and 1 gram of German Black aluminium and you have the composition for a cherry bomb.  ;)

You live in Canada, and I don't know much about pyrotechnic suppliers there, but in the US you can buy from Unitednuclear.  :thumbup:

Oh, it seems like they've stopped selling German Black, but you can use magnesium instead though then you take 60% potassium perchlorate and 40% magnesium.
