Yes, I cannot give sufficient proof since the two mentioned artists by me are no longer with us and, like you more or less said in a post earlier that, I'm not officially able to label anyone since yeah, I'm not a professional psychiatrist of course but still..

I did work with autistic folks before and yeah, there are traits I do recognize in other people that are on the auti-spectrum (quite easily). It's no science whatsoever but it's a bit like 'knowing me/knowing you' in a way.

Um, tempted a little to seek for a more solid base for my claim.. and could go through Van Gogh letters wrote to his brother again but I'm not going to. The 'sense' I got reading some of them was.. yeah, he might be.. he might. Read stuff about the shy and always polite Hendrix as well but ja.. no empirical proving.

Honestly, I'm also fed up with the 'thought up' or suppose to exist aspies supremacy some acting out here and there. I really don't feel an asperger is better or more gifted than others not on the auti-spectrum. For some it's like a compensational 'superbius' for basically feeling insecure and/or lacking social or other skills themselves. Like a group façade or something.

Well, not going to state my thoughts about Leonardo here now but.. (blahiah.. )

Nah :P
Solum certum nihil esse certi et homine nihil miserius aut superbius.

Diagnosing dead people with autism is a WP specialty.  They love it, and it will probably go over very well there.

BTW, Micky Mouse was autistic.   :orly:

And Donald Duck had Tourette's.

I have a strong dislike for Mickey Mouse.

And Donald Duck had Tourette's.

A poster with all his moods was great teaching material on what could possibly read on faces. We had it on the wall for a couple of years.

I was never fond of Mickey either. Donald, sure, but Mickey was a bore.

Best guitarist you say

"No one believes more firmly than Comrade Napoleon that all animals are equal. He would be only too happy to let you make your decisions for yourselves. But sometimes you might make the wrong decisions, comrades, and then where should we be?"

Fatality waits in the wings
Surrounded by fools behind walls that are breached
Beware of the jester that sings"

on wp everyone famous is aspie
in i2, nobody is aspie. not even we i guess.

i think sometimes, the odds fit,
like, tons of boring, mainstream music, vs a percentage of totally out of the box music.
goes for all of art, philosophy and science.

the first man _on earth_ to draw tyrannosaurs with a lifted tail, has all the personality traits of a typical aspie.
and i did NOT read that on WP :D
(gregory paul, back in 1979 if your curious :) )

like everywhere else, reality isnt black or white. sometimes extraordinary people are aspies, sometimes theyre not.

Oh, and mind you.. derailing stuff even further here.. he couldn't read or write musical noting.

Miles Davis worked with him just before Jimi died and he was amazed/flabbergasted to find out this was the case.

Well, I think, in a way, Jimi Hendrix was like Vincent van Gogh.. um, painting.. yeah, like Miles, a free spirit, way into adulthood..

Like in HFA maybe?
Please spare me the "every famous creative person ever was an aspie" argument.

Newton is an aspie.
Everybody famous is. NT's are actually a minority.

So, we're the fail aspies, that just didn't make it?

Yes. That's why we ended up here. :P

There had to be an explanation. :toporly: :nerd!:
