What does the karma and all the little icons mean under each member name?
Hi DieMenschMaschine.
We are not just for Americans. We have members from all over.
Karma is a way for you to give or take away points from people or for them to give or take away points from you. People often give karma points if they think a post is well-written or insightful or if it makes them laugh, while others like to give or take away karma points for other reasons. Some people make a game of saying things to make other people subtract karma ponts from them. There is no tangible reward for having a high or low karma, it is just a number.
If you want to give a karma point, then you click Yay! under the person's karma. If you want to take a point away, then click Ghey!.
Directly below the member's screen name is a custom title, if the member has one. If you want one, just ask. Below that is the member's membergroup, both special and post count based.
The color of the stars depends on the member's membergroup, while the number of stars depends on the member's post count.
Below the member's avatar there are three icons, the member profile, the email, and the private message icon.
Below these, there is an ignore icon, which you click on if you prefer not to see this member's posts.
Hope this helps.
