One night you are enjoying the last cigarette of the day, and something happens to you. You are suddenly different somehow. You can "see" with your mind. You discover that you can remember every last detail of your life with crystal clarity, and even probe the minds of others.

Experimenting with this over the next few months, you discover you can manipulate your surroundings without touching them physically. Your mind and body seems to be developing without end. You can even invade other peoples minds and influence their behavior, change their memories, anything you want!

I would get near the someone else and observe them and learn as much as I could about the extent of their powers. If I couldn't learn enough, I would face them directly and test my abilities against theirs to see if there was a significant difference in strength.

If I were stronger, I would stop them.

If they were stronger, I would ward my mind, 'surrender', and get to know them on a personal level, until I understood what motivated them and what their hidden weaknesses were. I would let them play with my body and mind if necessary, counting on my ability to hide in the corners of my psyche. Then when the moment came, I would strike to kill.

I'd use my abilities to wipe any memory of my existance from their minds and get as far away from everyone else as possible. I'd become one of those crazy shotgun toting old women hiding in the mountains with a garden out back and a still in the backyard.

I would find like-minded individuals (i.e. geared more toward peace and the good), bestow them with power similar to mine, and work to quell the other person geared toward war and chaos.  Whether that would be by subduing them or changing them would depend on why that person wanted to cause misery.

I would also practice blocking myself against others, etc. etc., with the group of people I had gathered around me.  If one other person with these powers appeared, more would as well, in the future.  The ability to function with others who had this same power would thus be essential.

I'd leave revolution to someone more politically-minded if at all possible.  I'm no leader.
