--- Quote from: renaeden on November 06, 2022, 07:39:22 PM ---To get my fix of holding Rowan, I lift him to the bench where his food is and hold him for about 5 seconds.

He's taken to sleeping on my bed a lot and I  having him there because I can pet him.

Jellybean likes to sit with and on me all the time but he has to choose when and where,  pick him up and he's guaranteed to try and get away as soon as he can.

renaeden:
Both our cats aren't lap cats unfortunately. I'd love them to be, though.

renaeden:
When we were at the vet last, I voiced my concern about Rowan's lack of drinking. The vet said he looked far from dehydrated and that cats were very good at getting their fluids from their food.

So I've continued to worry despite that. But last week I filled up a bowl with water to put stamps on paper in (it separates the stamps from the paper) and Rowan jumped up onto the table and started lapping at the water. This was the third time I'd seen him drink in the two years we've had him. Then yesterday I saw him drink out of the cat water fountain. Maybe he's getting thirsty because the weather is warm? Anyway, I'm glad to see it.

renaeden:
Both cats went to the vet again on the 16th February. They're both fine, their weight is steady. Kira got a microchip.

There's been a stray cat coming into our backyard every night for about a week. They're a tuxedo cat which is lovely but they're very thin. We don't know if they're a boy or a girl yet. Last night, Kayleigh put out some food and water for the cat. The food was all eaten by this morning. I don't really want another cat but I hate to see one starving.
