Innocent until proven guilty, and yes, I too hope that his legal defence is thorough and well-prepared. The focus, though, would have to be on the threat to public safety, and not on this person's state of mind.
What about everyone elses threat to our safety. FFS.

"Everyone else" isn't on trial here; Isa Ibrahim is. And I don't give a damn if he's on the spectrum, or is so-called "normal," or simply lets the imams control all his mental processes. If he is proven to have posed any public danger, he is liable.

That article gives a very different perspective, doesn't it?

It offers facts which matter to the case not about how he played with teddy bears, had a drug problem or divorced parents.  Also notice the difference in the headlines: "Muslim ex-public schoolboy 'made his own suicide bomb vest to look cool'" and "Terror suspect student 'had suicide vest and explosives'".
