Happy Birthday!

I had similar throat issues last week and discovered the joys of gargling aspirin (with codeine of course ;))

I've been chewing down aspirin and paracetamol for my arthritis anyway. Plus Butter-Menthols  :green:

I thought they used NSAIDs to stop inflammation in arthritis.  Does the paracetamol help?

You just need one regular paracetamol tablet and one aspirin tablet a day?  How's that working for you?

I recently started taking Meloxicam, which is usually used for arthritis, for my sprained ankle and it seems to be working pretty well for me.  I know a sprain is different from arthritis, but there is inflammation in both.

To get accurate results I'd have to remember to take them daily I guess. I'm really bad with preventative medicine. If I feel okay, I don't remember to take anything.

If you are taking them for pain, then if you don't have pain you don't need to take them, so that's OK.

In my case, I'm taking them for pain and inflammation and the pain is pretty much constant so it reminds me, plus, I put the pills in a daily reminder container that holds a week's worth so I can remember to take both of them every day.  I'm also taking a blood pressure pill and a glucosamine chondroitin MSM dietary supplement called Osteo Bi-Flex that's supposed to be good for my joints, so I stick those pills in there, too.

Argh! That's a lot of pills. I know if I take a lot of pills I start to feel weird and strange things happen to my body and then I have to stop.

Guess that's another reason I'm not so good at taking pills.

But I should be taking at least one paracetamol and one aspirin a day as a preventative, but meh, it's when I remember I guess.

(there goes my liver)

Yes, I went from taking no pills to taking all those.  It's a lot.

I hate constipation, which is usually one of the first side effects of a lot of pills.

I had that from the Vicodin, but I don't need it as much as I did at first.
