Anyone who has any first hand knowledge of that new diet aid Alli?  I heard that if you eat more than an allotted amount of fat you get terrible stomach pains and diarrhea which is probably a good self torturing tactic that may do the trick to keep me away from everything that I crave!  Flo...DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS, I DON'T WANT YOUR OPINION!!!

I have no first hand experience.  Here is some second hand information:

If you take it as part of a diet that is 30% fat, 30% protein and 30% carbohydrate, and calorie restricted, you will lose approximately 50% more weight than with the diet alone.

But there is a catch:  The oil that is blocked by Alli from being absorbed in your intestines does not disappear.  It has to go somewhere, so it leaks out of your bottom.  If you already eat a very low fat diet, you don't need Alli to block oil from being absorbed, because there are some important fat soluble vitamins you would be missing.  It's probably a good idea to take a good multivitamin if you are dieting, especially if you take Alli.  Wearing Depends while you take Alli would probably be a good idea as well as carrying a change of clothes.

It would be like taking mineral oil or eating too many chips with Olestra.
