Some of us are hovering periodically.

Probably just as sad.  :P

I was on and off most of the day, between snow shoveling breaks (I am still carving away at the edges of the last snowfall)  but I had given up by the time you made that post.

Sorry I was busy with Benny & Joon. I am stuck in fanfiction right now about it. I retired from diaper stories for now.

OK, so what happened? What brought you here just in time to remind Parts how alone he was, last night?

What ever it was, maybe you should investigate and post the results here.

Same. I am sitting here with sweat running down my face, blech. I WISH we had air-conditioning. Went to the shops yesterday and it was actually cold in there.

Put a fan in the window and keep a wet towel behind it. Sit in the breeze.

Evaporative cooling is fairly cheap, if you live in a dry climate. Can't you get something like this sorted to work in your area or is it too humid for this type of air conditioning to work?

With refrigeration, you can usually expect to relieve about twenty five degrees F, evaporative only about ten ot fifteen, but even ten is better than no relief at all.

We have a portable evaporative air cooler. It is not really portable though, it's big and the wheels are broken on it. But we are using it in the bedroom. The humidity is a problem though. It is always humid here in the summer even when it is sunny.

Refrigerated cooling would be absolutely ideal.

I just noticed that I'm here all alone.

See Renaeden, not only can I end any lively thread with my commentary, I can clear out the entire house.
