Are they trying to get no-swearing laws passed, or just asking people to voluntarily refrain from it?  Their website design is horrible, and I don't want to hunt through it to find out.

Yes the kid is actually campaigning for no swearing laws like some kind of zealot. His parents turned him into a monster I tell you. And yeah the website design would easily give way to even a few people applying denial of service attacks. That shows you how stupid religious people are. Well. Most of them anyway.

No dirty jokes either.  :thumbdn: I grew up in good part on military bases so swearing was pretty common. I don't care if they do or don't curse as long as they don't try to be the language police to others. When I lived in Utah it was common for some of the Mormons to say "That's a piece of hud" instead of "That's a piece of shit". They apparently did not realize that by substituting one word for another is how new swear words develop. I have not looked up the etymology myself but I read somewhere that the word Fuck derives from Middle English and originally was just another way of saying plant a seed, as opposed to being the pejorative term that it is now.

Swedish "knull/a" ("fuck") probably comes from Low German "Knüll/en", which just means to push something together. Swedish "fitta" ("cunt") probably comes from a word meaning "wetland".  :zoinks:
