They didn't actually sneak out. They took advantage of a blind spot in the security cameras and snuck into the ceiling.

Eh. I'm not a snob either. I just don't like it. Especially the really drama-ridden ones which reek of being staged.

I would like it if there were more detail, but the camera cuts are generally too short for my autism-spectrum brain to get any read on the people's motivations. How are you supposed to figure out who's going to do what when you see only what the producers want you to see? It becomes more of an exercise in reading film language than an exercise in understanding people.
