Why were the 80's so hot

I wish I grew up in the 80's.

For some reason there is something so hot about those disgusting outfits and hairdos people had. Must be the fact it's a blast from the past thats making me so excitable.

I grew up in the 80's. They weren't that great at all.

Life was easier in the 70's and 80's but I wouldn't call it "hot".

My hair looked the same as now, by the way, except a little longer, that is: parted on the right side of the head Hitlerjunge style. I'd never dream of having a ridiculous 1980's haircut.

Yes, ridiculously permed and coloured hair, glaring coloured clothes, disco shit...

The only good in the '80s were the Rambo and Ninja films and the first decent computer games. 

I think year 800 or so would have been cool, if you had been a Viking leader's son.

My only memory of the 80s was mum blasting "sail away" on the stereo.

And lots of HIDEOUS photos of people. A real blast from the past.

I remember my stroller, my diapers, eating in my high chair, my play pen, my carseat, the house we lived in, my dad's business car and his Honda, Christmas in 1987 and 88, and 89, moving to Washington, living with my Dad's friend for ten weeks with my family before we moved to our new house, new to my day care, new to my school, gah I remember lot of things.  I even remember when my brother was born and I got a new gift and played with it. It was one of those sticker things you put on the board and it was the Raggedy Ann kind.

I grew up in the 80's.  Not exactly what I'd call fun.

As for that picture a few posts up...  I used to think I liked heavy metal, but if I had it all to live through again, I'd be a fan of Devo.  (Well now I am, anyway.  I often listen to them on the way to work.)  I hope I get to catch one of their concerts while they're still around.  I just want to see if the whole audience shows up in jumpsuits and Jello-mold hats (Power Domes).
