I wonder if this was caused from trichinella. They really didn't say much about the cause or the type of worm in the woman's brain.
I remember reading a few years ago that trichinella was mostly a non-issue here in the states, because we tend to adhere more closely to recommended cooking times and temperatures for pork and most of us have no interest in eating carnivores or scavengers.
Makes me wonder if that was just pure bullshit sponsored by pork growers, trying to sell more meat in the wake of the Mad Cow scare.
