If you both have microphones, webcams, and fast internet connections, I think it works pretty well and computer to computer is free.

I have used it with my husband even while he was in India, twelve-and-a-half time zones away.

I have problems with the line in/mic in sound driver, or maybe with the sound card itself, so we can only do one-way Skype. :P
