Damnit, I really want to find something in there to disagree and argue with, but I'm coming up empty.

"There is an area of the mind that could be called unsane, beyond sanity, and yet not insane. Think of a circle with a fine split in it. At one end there's insanity. You go around the circle to sanity, and on the other end of the circle, close to insanity, but not insanity, is unsanity"

- anyone know where this quote comes from? I know it from the Hallucinogen song Demented.
This brain could do with some more dimethyltryptamine.

What is the difference between ignorance and apathy? "I don't know and I don't care."

people are mainly fucktards.  push the lot of them into a pit and make compost, so at least the flowers will be pretty.

::)

We can't spare the rough matter to offset the nitrogen content of practically the entire populace. We need to somehow render them into beneficial compounds, then introduce only their best parts to the compost.

Too bad worms aren't twenty meters in length! Make wormshit of the lot and go from there.

Ghandi: Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

The end result of life's daily pain and suffering, trials and failures, tears and laughter, readings and listenings is an accumulation of wisdom in its purest form.

It only takes a few geniuses to make the breakthroughs and a small number of entrepreneurs to allocate resources to where they're most in demand; the rest of the population just needs to follow orders and apply whatever training they've received.  It's not a perfect system, but the species outbreeds calamities such as insane genocidal leaders, gross mismanagement of food production, the destruction of natural resources and the general stupidity and violence of the population as a whole.

That sums it up, in spite of the stupidity of the masses there are a few smart people that keep the wheels spining and society functioning anyways. Just look at the mortgage mess, when the masses are left to their own mindless mentality they will self destruct so have to be controlled, ok Biff so you want a loan, here is the deal so you don't get in trouble. The system gave them a little too much rope and they hung themselves.

The people in power without even planning it out have developed the perfect system to keep smart people out of the peasant labor force so they don't have to deal with another Jimmy Hoffa type person leading the workers to revolt. They make sure every smart peasant can get an education so they can assimilate them into the upper class. Obama is an example, if the guy was picking crops in Hawaii he has the smarts and personality to lead the workers to revolt, so they cherry pick people like him out of the peasant class so there is no labor revolts.
