It can't be too old, the fixtures and tile on the left look fairly recent.

I hope she eats as much snails and slugs as she can.
She has to be wary of other critters in my garden and the garden next door though.
The cats are intrigued, and I have no doubts that the young terrier at the other side of the fence would not let her go in one piece.

Nah, she's a fatty, so, most likely female. The females are big, and in mating season they walk miles and miles with one, or two  small males on their back.
